LISTING REMOVED Rochester, NY: Two year old guinea pig being rehomed, "not a biter a little shy." Surely this adorable pig will open up in his/her forever home. Speaking of pronouns, (Boy or Girl? ).
LISTING REMOVED Poughkeepsie, NY: Rehoming two family guinea pigs (and in a move that I think severely limits qualified homes) only to families with young children. Errr... :( That's actually the exact opposite of what most shelters and rescues would look for. It's rare (and valuable and rewarding) to find young children who have the responsibility, hand size, patience, attention span, and devotion, to care for guinea pigs for 5-7 years, even up to ten or more. To make it a condition of adoption is to do a disservice to your guinea pigs' options, in my opinion. Frustratingly, they are being rehomed because their own children have lost interest.
One guinea pig is a long haired black sow named "Belle," the other is a white and brown short hair named "Ruby." They are bonded and should be adopted together. They enjoy being handfed. They come with their wooden hut which Belle in particular likes to hide in. They also come with their cage, water bottles, food bowls, and container with food.
