Ritchie County Humane Society Inc.; Harrisville, WV:
Brownie and Indy!
Brownie is the crested girl and Indy is the boy. They're both young. Indy is the shyer of the two. They both enjoy being pet on their foreheads. Unless one of them is spayed or neutered, this warrants a
PREGNANCY WATCH (
GL link on reproduction).
Indy is showing signs of hair loss, most commonly due to mites, and so I've marked him special needs. He is a gorgeous Himalayan in the making though! Every new guinea pig should go to a
Cavy Savvy Vet for a well visit, but Indy will definitely need one. Guinea Lynx provides a list of common mistakes in treatment
here. Mites are a very common issue in guinea pig treatment.
More knowledge and GP fun galore are available at

* AAGP recommends quarantining any new guinea pigs
Many sad accidents or "accidents" can be avoided this way. *
