Bethlehem (Allentown), PA: Two female guinea pigs being rehomed after being temporarily housed with the posters, who took them in after their previous owners were moving. They are well socialized to people and "as sweet as can be."

LISTING REMOVED Strinestown (York), PA: An 8 month old male crested guinea pig named Camo being rehomed due to lack of time. "Very sweet...loves to sit on your lap and watch T.V. with you!" He comes with his cage (too small, try Cheaper, Better Cages), Timothy hay, a half bag of food, a food bowl, water bottle, cage liners, and a GUINEA NO NO: Vitamins don't go in the water! They aren't water soluble, meaning they stop working after about five minutes and then just make the water taste bad. If a guinea pig has a reduced water intake, that leads to a host of medical problems. He should get his vitamin C from a Proper Diet .

Harrisburg, PA: Three guinea pigs being rehomed with cage and shavings (make sure it's not cedar or plain pine) due to lack of time. Two females, one male (PREGNANCY WATCH). This is part of an ad selling a lot of household items. GUINEA PIG LESSON: Adopt them with the air conditioner! Guinea pigs are very vulnerable to heatstroke. They should never be kept outdoors, and if you're too hot, they're definitely too hot.

North East Erie, PA: Two bonded 1.5 y.o. male guinea pigs being rehomed with their cage, water bottles, house, food dish, and these items on the GUINEA NO-LIST: leashes, harnesses, and timothy hay wheel (too much work for the pigs to get their hay). Look how adorable these boys are!

Pittsburgh, PA: One y.o. male guinea pig (brown and white) being rehomed due to change in situation. Well socialized and loves floor time. Comes with play pen. Photos by request. Poster wishes for guinea pig to go to caring and devoted home. (I wish that for all my AAGP babies!)

(Buffalo), NY: Atlas is a "very friendly" 1.5 year old male guinea pig, and separately offered for adoption is Widget, a one year old blonde guinea pig male with the "greatest personality."

Rochester, NY: Two bonded sisters, 4-5 month old GPs, one a black/white american, the other a black/dark orange abyssinian. "Playful, vocal, and clearly very cute!" Being rehomed due to lack of time. Come with too small cage ( Cheaper, Better Cages) and accessories, and any remaining bedding and food. Want a guinea pig experienced home or one willing to give a lot of out of cage time.

GUINEA PIG LESSON
: Carrots are only good as an occasional treat, and are basically equivalent to junk food for guinea pigs. Learn about what to feed your new friend here: Proper Diet . Pellets also shouldn't have colored pieces or corn. The pig on the left should never be bred because she carries the dangerous ROAN gene and could produce a lethal baby.

Greece (Rochester), NY
: Two female guinea pigs being rehomed, one is a teddy, one crested, due to life style change. Come with cage and dishes, poster will screen potential adopters. Honey Bear is the teddy, and has resulting dry skin. GUINEA PIG LESSON: BAG BALM IS TOXIC TO GUINEA PIGS! Try humilac for dry skin, and use ivermectin to treat for mites.

Philadelphia, PA: Reeses, Oreo and Twix are three guinea pigs as sweet as their names! They are two females (mother and daughter) and one neutered male. They are very bonded and used to being treated well, but now that their caretaker is entering high school they are being rehomed. More pictures available at link. GUINEA PIG LESSON: Please commit to care for your pets for their lifetime. These guinea pigs are three years old, guinea pigs' life expectancy is 5-7 years, 9 years +. Adopting a trio is a good idea because when the first pig passes, the other pigs will handle the loss more easily.
