Old Bethpage (Long Island), NY: As I said with our last yard sale guinea pig, this is just setting up for a disastrous impulse buy. "Guinea Pig w. cage and accessories " Garage Sale - Saturday Only - July 26th - 10am to 4pm

Do me a favor, dear reader, if you are near this neighborhood but aren't able to save the guinea pig yourself, could you print out and place a GuineaLynx Care Guide near the cage (with permission)? And make sure s/he's not out in the sun? If the guinea pig is, try and convince the owners to put him inside, perhaps with a sign saying there's a guinea pig indoors. Failing that, move piggy into the shade.

Farmingville (Long Island), NY: Tan/white guinea pig (Boy or Girl? ), 8 months old, comes with cage, water bottle, food dish, and some toys. Must be picked up by the 24th or poster is taking the pig back to the petstore. GUINEA PIG LESSON: Never take a guinea pig back to a petstore for rehoming; they do no screening (just whoever can pay for the pig) and will often give returned guinea pigs away for free to anyone who wants them. Sn@ke owners are aware of which stores that do this; major chains are among them.

Watertown, NY: Guinea pig (Boy or Girl?)being rehomed due to too many pets and child losing interest.

Albany, NY: Three year old male guinea pig, "a huge lover, he cuddles and is very well behaved." Being rehomed due to other pets (kittens) being too interested in him. Comes with cage, water bottle and food dish.

Come with cages, water bottle, and other accessories. 2 y.o. guinea pig by herself (Guinea Pigs need a friend! Guinea pig is friendly, quiet, with short calico hair. Adopter with guinea pig experience preferred. Comes with food, Timothy hay, treats, cage, water bottle, and pine bedding (make sure it's kiln dried).

Syracuse, NY: 1.5 y.o. male guinea pig being rehomed due to lack of time, needs help being socialized to people. Poster would prefer him to go to a rescue. Guinea pigs can be socialized pretty easily to a caring individual who has patience and time. Registering with GuineaLynx and posting on the forums for help is a good way to get tips. Comes with cage, litter (hopefully Bedding), and food.
