NY-Humane Society of Middletown New York-Thirteen Guinea Pigs

Humane Society of Middletown, New York: Middletown, New York: 13 guinea pig youths and babies!

Thirteen guinea pigs are currently being housed at the Humane Society of Middletown, New York. They were dumped out of a car, poor babies! And now unfortunately they're being housed on wire floors, which can cause a dangerous condition in guinea pig called bumblefoot.

Six of the 13 pictured below:

Catasauqua (Allentown), PA: 16 month old abby female named Oreo being rehomed due to moving. Comes with too small cage ( Cheaper, Better Cages), pigloo, LEASH (NEVER USE), food dish and a 1/2 of food (this is barely anything-stock up on good pellets-no colored pieces, best local is Oxbow).

Wilkes-Barre (Scranton), PA: Guinea pig Boy or Girl? being rehomed due to move (also with rabbit, rabbits and guinea pigs should not be housed together as rabbits powerful legs can injure guinea pigs and they frequently are latent carriers of bordetella or pasteurella, which is very dangerous if contracted by a guinea pig).

Aston (Philadelphia), PA: Two friendly bonded males being rehomed and housed on TOXIC CEDAR BEDDING. See appropriate Bedding. Peanut is the lighter pig, and is calmer, extremely friendly, and is very well socialized. Popeye is the darker pig, is just as friendly, but a bit more active.

PA-Animal Rescue League of Western Pennsylvania

Animal Rescue League of Western Pennsylvania; Pittsburgh, PA: Jessie!

Jessie is a small young female being housed in the ARL's rabbit room. GUINEA PIG LESSON: Guinea pigs and rabbits should never be housed together because the rabbit's legs have a powerful kick that can easily injure the pig, and they are also commonly carriers of bordatella and pasteurella, which is very serious when contracted by guinea pigs.

NJ-Friends of Homeless Animals-Trio, 2 single males, female

Friends of Homeless Animals of Northern New Jersey; Hawthorne, NJ: Othello, Tabitha, Cosmo, and Lassie, Louise, and Daggot.

This rescue prefers guinea pig experience in their adopters. Contact for more information.

Othello is a gorgeous long haired abby who currently prefers to live by himself, though that may change as he ages. He is presently listed as "Young" on Petfinder.

Tabitha is a "very sweet little girl" who wants to be adopted either to a home with a guinea pig already or with one of her friends from the rescue.

Cosmo is an orange/white Abby/American mix, with a white mohawk of hair on his head. He is a year old, and has a strong personality. He is one of those rare pigs who could live by himself (or maybe with a spayed female?)

Louise is a young american guinea pig, primarily white in color with some other colors on her face and rear. She is paired with Lassie and Daggot.

Lassie is an orange and white American pig who came to the rescue from the shelter. She is a bit skittish but should improve with time. She is paired with Louise and Daggot.

And here's the lucky guy with two girlfriends, Daggot. He's a neutered one and a half year old teddy.
