NY-Lollypop Farm in Fairport

I regularly post about the beauty of the Lollypop Guild guinea pigs, but I thought I would best be able to make my point by putting all of them in one thread.

To start, the surely gorgeous and sweet guinea pigs who do not yet have pictures:

LISTING REMOVED. Clover is a two year old brown, tri-color boar.
LISTING REMOVED.
Daisy is a one year old brown, tri-color sow.
LISTING REMOVED. Patches is a two and half year old white sow. Sounds beautiful!

And here are those with photos (just doing it in twos to make it easier, not necessarily a bonded pair):

LISTING REMOVED. Truly is amazing looking. She is one year and seven months old, and incredibly beautiful. Long haired guineas are a bit more demanding, so read up before adopting.

LISTING REMOVED. Lady Brown is also quite the beauty. I imagine she'll get adopted very quickly. Let's just hope it's to a good home. Maybe yours? She's one year and seven months old.

Precious (LISTING REMOVED) and LISTING REMOVED. Carmela: Precious is the one year old white calico girl and Carmela is a two year old white calico. I imagine there's a mistake there. Speaking of, guinea pigs should never be housed on wire floors. I worry about this photo. The girls are so beautiful. And apparently they're classified.

LISTING REMOVED.
Lt. Mitchel is a black tortoiseshell boar who is one year and seven months old. And he has a crest! LISTING REMOVED. Speedie is pictured with Buddie, whose listing was recently removed. I'm not sure why, and I'm also not sure which one is Speedie, but they're both really striking. Speedie is a one year and one month old boar.

LISTING REMOVED. Prince Charming, I would guess from the descriptions, is the boy on the right, and he is one year and one month old, and very distinguished looking.
LISTING REMOVED. Ricky Bobby is the boy on the left, I believe, and he is six months old.

LISTING REMOVED. Rooney doesn't have an age listed, but he is surely a sweetie. He is brown and white and just right for being your new guinea pet. LISTING REMOVED. Patrick is a three year old black and white boar. His bio says that he's a brown tri-color, so double check before falling in love with this cutie!

LISTING REMOVED.
Horatio is three years and two months old. He is primarily black with a white racing stripe down his face. LISTING REMOVED. Echo is a beautiful young abby girl. She is just a little bit over one year old.

LISTING REMOVED.
Pokey is a handsome one year and eight month old orange piggie boy.
LISTING REMOVED.
Piggy is a black and orange crested boar, one year and eight months old.

NY-Life Long Tails-Boar

Life Long Tails has a beautiful young boar available for adoption. Life Long Tails is going through the, from what I've read, hellish process of becoming a 501c (3) tax exempt organization. Lift their spirits. Adopt a guinea pig.

ADOPTED! Rocky Road is such a cutie. This little guy is a five to six month old calico haired guinea. He's very active and loves to eat hay. Rocky Road is a bit shy in his cage, but opens right up once with a caring person. He's a snuggler and lover boy and he's looking for a forever home.

LISTING REMOVED.
Troy, (near Albany) three guinea pigs being dumped. The listing's a hoot, in that "can't cry, so laugh" type way. Poster is selling the cage, which has a big ol' fat picture in the post. And as a side note, three guinea pigs are yours for the sn@ke's taking. No picture--perhaps they would detract from the glamour of the crappy too-small cage. One spayed female and male bonded, other girl goes separately. Friendly, love to be handled, vocal.

NY-Craigslist-Young Boar

LISTING REMOVED.
Rome (near Utica), NY: young boar being rehomed. This one year old is a big healthy boy who loves to be cuddled and is used to being handled. He comes with some supplies, including a "large" cage that is too small. His family does not have time for him, so they're dumping him on Craigslist for fr33. It may take time to find a safe home for a pet, but it's worth it--especially for them!

NY-Craigslist-two sows

LISTING REMOVED.
Syracue, NY two adult sows are being reposted. These sweet, lovable girls are friendly and like to cuddle. Ideally the girls will be adopted together, but they can go separately. Small adoption fee includes bedding, food, and various supplies. Oddly, the cage isn't included...make some inquiries about whether this is a breeder dumping "stock.' If it does seem to be a breeder, please check out the other guinea pigs on this page who are in need of homes.

South Jersey Mother and Daughter pair being dumped on Craigslist. They are two and four years old, and being rehomed because baby number three is on the way and they need the space. Poor kid's going to hate boarding school (I kid!/generalize). They are long haired girls with cowlicks and are very friendly. The piggies are used to dogs, kids, and cats. Supplies and cage included, pictures available to serious inquiries.

NY-Craigslist-six month old boar

LISTING EXPIRED. Mamaroneck, NY (near Westchester): six month old boar, black and white. Friendly boy Ajax comes with his cage, play pen, and water bottle. Get this adorable boy some supplies by using the links below!

NY-Humane Society of Port Jarvis/Deerpark

LISTING REMOVED. The Humane Society of Port Jarvis/Deerpark has the pleasure of hosting one of the most adorable guinea pigs I have ever seen. His name is Mr. Bojangles. Now, I give them many points for that name, but problematically, Mr. Bojangles is being housed with a bunny. This can result in injuries and disease transfer. I don't know anything about this in detail, never having had a bunny, but you can find information on Guinea Lynx from the experts.

Mr. Bojangles is one year old, has a striking crest, and is very friendly. He will be neutered before being adopted.

POST DELETED. Three month old boar gets third time posting on Craigslist. For those of you who remember, this pig was bought for a four year old who couldn't handle the responsibility, comes with a leash, and looks like the guinea pig from Dr. Doolittle. He is so adorable, save him from this situation.

POST DELETED. Young black abby sow, eight months old, being rehomed for small adoption fee. She comes with cage, food dish, and water bottle. She is very friendly, though scared in a new environment, and loves people. Please don't put her on wire grids as she is in the picture, this can lead to bumblefoot.

LISTING DELETED. Carlisle, PA (near Harrisburg): two guinea pigs of unspecified sex available for small adoption fee. One is gray and white, one is brown and white. They are playful, cuddly, and love floor-time. They come with cage, food, water bottle, and pigloo. They do not have to go together, but I imagine that would be nice. The poster says they have to go ASAP. The guinea pigs are six months old, approximately.

516

PA-SPCA of Lazerne County-single sow

LISTING REMOVED. The SPCA of Lazerne County, PA in Wilkes-Barre, has an adorable guinea pig available for adoption. Chi Chi is a medium sized adult who loves attention. She desperately needs a forever home that will love and care for her the rest of her many days.

514

PA-Women's Humane Society-multiple pigs

Women's Humane Society guinea pigs--in picture picture!

ADOPTED! Chopper has been there the longest of the guinea pigs at the shelter. He's a friendly one year old who's good with kids. He's "slightly active." I don't know if this rating system applies to guinea pigs as well as it would dogs, for example. I haven't been to WHS, but I think the majority of guineas are more timid in shelters than they would be if securely in their forever home--maybe yours? They have a great site if you're thinking of adopting here.

(trim his nails when you adopt him--ouch!)

Adopted! Baby Piggy, ADOPTED! May-May, and Adopted! Squeak-Squeak were all surrendered together. I'm not sure who is who in the photo. Also, it doesn't seem like the shelter is requiring them to be adopted together, but I'm not positive. Baby Piggy is a five month old boar who is cautious with people. May-May is eleven months old and is also cautious around people. No wonder! They were given up when their owner moved out of state. That would make me wary. Squeak-Squeak is also eleven months old and has a medium-length coat.

Adopted!
Co-Co, ADOPTED! Snowball, and Adopted! Patches were surrendered to the shelter because a family member had allergies. Again, I don't know who is who or whether they have to be adopted together. Co-Co is a nine month old boar, tri-color, and small. He's cautious around people. Snowball is a white boy, nine months old, and of medium size. Patches is a tri-color boar, medium size. He is nine months old and cautious around people.

LISTING REMOVED.
Spring City, near Philadelphia, PA: Sweet friendly, cuddly sow being dumped on Craigslist. A selling point this poster provides is that the guinea pig will walk on a leash. Please never do this to your guinea pigs. It is very scary for them to be restrained. If the guinea pig is walking on the leash it is probably trying to walk away from you. To hide. Give this girl a good home where she can be her guinea pig-self. Not a novelty.

WITH A RESCUE! Somerset, PA two young sows being rehomed for small adoption fee. Come with large cage that is actually tiny and unsuitable for even one guinea pig, though yes, this is what is marketed as large in a Pet-store. See the link at the bottom for larger, cheaper cages. The girls are seven months old and love attention. Daughter lost interest. Poster says call ASAP if you want to adopt them, and to please call by Thursday. What happens Thursday, if no home is assured? I believe they've been posted before, and I mistakenly said they were with a rescue. Obviously not the case; I apologize.

NJ-Have-a-Heart Guinea Pig Rescue

NOTE: DUE TO TIME CONSTRAINTS AND THE LARGE NUMBER OF HAVE A HEART GUINEA PIGS, HAH ENTRIES WILL NO LONGER BE RETROACTIVELY UPDATED. MY APOLOGIES FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS CAUSES. THE HAH WEBSITE WILL OFFER THE MOST UP TO DATE INFORMATION.

New Jersey has been blessed with another Have-a-Heart Piggie! Time to bless Have-a-Heart with some great adopters. As a reminder, they have foster homes in NJ, DE, and PA. The last MD piggies just got adopted; what lucky girls!

Laverne and Shirly
don't have pictures up yet, but knowing Have-a-Heart they're cuties. I can tell you that they are baby girls who are bonded. Despite their young age, they've already gone through the difficult process of being returned from a "forever" home through no fault of their own. Their previous adopters were moving and were unable to take the guineas with them. Laverne and Shirly are used to dogs, kids, and cats. Both girls are abbys; Laverne is a rust and white abby and Shirly is a blonde and white abby.

Now in Have-a-Heart tradition, I'm going to feature three more NJ guinea pig listings, and post the links to the other sweeties at the bottom of the entry.

Peanut and Butter are two adorable boys who must be adopted together. They were surrendered to the rescue because their family could no longer keep them. They arae used to dogs, cats, and kids. Peanut is a nine month old tri-color American, and Butter is a black and white abby who is six months old. They look so cute together!

Doze is a young boy who came to Have-a-Heart from a local animal shelter. He was abandoned there because his family no longer wanted him. He is used to being around cats, dogs, and kids. He is also adorable.

LISTING REMOVED--> Mae and Nelissa were a big topic of discussion at the AAGP household one night. Like Smores in PA, I am convinced these girls are relatives of my Sophie. I had a really elaborate plan for a family reunion, but it simply isn't feasible. So one of you dear folks should get these girls. (If they are related to Sophie, they will definitely be sweethearts). These young girls were abandoned at a local shelter because they were no longer wanted. They are used to cats, dogs, and kids. But they aren't used to permanence. Can you teach them?
