PA-Piggie Lovers Inc. Guinea Pig Rescue-New pigs!!

Piggie Lovers Inc. Guinea Pig Rescue has four new guinea pigs available for adoption!

ADOPTED! Milton and Chester are two adorable guinea pig brothers. These abbys arrived at the rescue after a piggie train organized by some GuineaLynx members.

Milton was born October 12, 2007. He is a Pink Eyed White (PEW) abby, with black lining on his ears. I almost never see PEW abbys, and this one is a cutie. Milton is the less dominant of the two, and he likes to hide behind Chester when he's scared.

Chester was born June 15, 2007, and he is a tan, black and white abby. Chester is the more dominant of the two, and he's a big boar. He and Milton (those names are perfect) like to run all around their C&C cage, so the rescue is recommending their cage have a loft for even more fun playing.

ADOPTED! Eleanor is such a beautiful girl. I am completely in love with her. She is a chubby girl, and a senior at five years old.

She's a calmer piggie because of her age, but she can still get up a good trot around the cage when it's time for veggies. She lives next to her friend of five years, Madame Mim (featured below), and the rescue would like for them to be adopted to live next door to each other, but not in the same cage.

The two don't like to live with each other, but they do like lying on each side of the grids and talking. Nothing like some nice neighborly gossip!

ADOPTED! Madame Min is another cutie. She is also five years old, and is a brown, black and white short hair.

She is usually up for being held, and enjoys a scratch on the head here and there. If she ever is feeling grumpy and doesn't want to be held she'll chitter at you.

Madame Min is more active than Eleanor, and loves to eat. She will even steal food from Eleanor's side of the cage through the grids!

This cutie is Al to Eleanor's Tim, and they should be adopted together to continue on in their sweet, set-in ways.

NJ-Have-A-Heart Guinea Pigs

NOTE: DUE TO TIME CONSTRAINTS AND THE LARGE NUMBER OF HAVE A HEART GUINEA PIGS, HAH ENTRIES WILL NO LONGER BE RETROACTIVELY UPDATED. MY APOLOGIES FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS CAUSES. THE HAH WEBSITE WILL OFFER THE MOST UP TO DATE INFORMATION.

I have neglected to feature far too many of the New Jersey Have-A-Heart pigs. As a reminder, this rescue has a New Jersey mailing address, but foster homes in NJ, PA, and DE. Based on their sheer quantity of guinea pigs alone, odds are you could find the guinea pig of your dreams from this rescue. They have guinea pigs of all ages, br33ds, colors, temperaments, and both boys and girls. They need new fosters too, so consider Have-A-Heart if you're considering fostering.

Now, on to some of the babies I've been snubbing. My apologies, guineas!

Trooper came to the rescue from the local animal shelter, where he was turned in because he was no longer wanted. He's been in the rescue since Oct. 21, 2007. This cute silver and white agouti is used to being around dogs and cats. I am so drawn to his picture that it was getting dangerous. I'm counting on someone else to adopt him so I don't crack!

LISTING REMOVED--> Ohhh, is Sam a cute boy. He has been in the rescue since June of this year, and when he was turned in he was three and a half years old. Sammie is a senior! This cute boy needs a special home. Sam is a cute rust and white American, and he is used to dogs and cats.

ADOPTED! Wendy and DippinDot are adorable girls who have had a miserable go of it so far. They come from an animal cruelty case, where they were being raised in a barn for human consumption along with many other pigs. They lived with dead guinea pigs and maggots all around them. They have been in the rescue since August of last year--time for these girls to get a forever home! they were both about three months old when they came in to the rescue.

LISTING REMOVED. Beaver Falls, PA: Young guinea boy needs to be rehomed, small adoption fee includes cage and other supplies. He is quiet, gentle and sweet and "would [NOT] make a good pet for younger children." Piggy boy is under a year old. Way under by look of his photo, but I don't know if it's recent.

NY-Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society-Update

I previously posted these guinea pigs at Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society, but as they now have an incredibly adorable picture I thought I should post.

LISTING REMOVED. Huey and Dewey are two beautiful bouncing baby boys (who I think might be teddies? I'm bad with br33ds).

NY-Craigslist-Mother and four babies

LISTING REMOVED. Milford, NY: Poster saw a pregnant pig in a pet store and purchased her and cared for her. It's very difficult to resist sometimes, but I don't think people should buy guinea pigs in any state from a pet store--it only fr33s up a cage, and puts money in the pet store's pocket. I certainly understand the instinct though. Personally I don't go to pet stores anymore, because I don't fully trust my self control. Anyway, the poor mom was a mess--missing one ear, and the other ear has bites to it (probably from over crowded conditions). The babies are now a month old, and they have long curly hair, so they're probably texels. The babies are used to being handled and are very sweet. The mother is skittish around children, so an older children or adult only home would probably be best for her. The poster hopes that they'll all be adopted together. If so, sex them! Register with GuineaLynx to get help from the experts. Register anyway!

NY-Lollypop Farm in Fairport-Class Photo

Anyone who has read this blog for a bit knows that I love the guinea pigs of the Lollypop Farm in Fairport. Here are all of the present Lollypop Guild members, some of them old and some of them new.

LISTING REMOVED. Bubbles (L) and LISTING REMOVED. Trinket (R) are two absolutely beautiful girls who were both dumped in someone's backyard. Personally, I would be delighted if someone left two such gorgeous pigs in my backyard, but I know that's not a universal reaction--especially on the pig's part. Bubbles is one year and seven months old, and so is Trinket (who I think looks a little like a pug dog).

LISTING REMOVED. Pokey (L) boy is a cute one year and nine months old boar. LISTING REMOVED. Piggy is a one year and nine months old boar as well, and he has a crest!

LISTING REMOVED. Horatio (L)is an older boy at three years and three months. I think he is so adorable. I love his little white racing stripe down his nose. LISTING REMOVED. Speedie (R) guy is a calico cutie who is one year and two months old.

LISTING REMOVED. Truly (L) and LISTING REMOVED. Lady Brown (R) are such beautiful girls. They're like black and brown versions of each other, and are both a year and eight months old.

LISTING REMOVED. Lt. Mitchel (L) is a handsome (crested) one year and eight months old boar. LISTING REMOVED. Patrick is a handsome cow cavy, and I love him. He is three years old and three months.

LISTING REMOVED. Carmela (L) is the pig on the right in her photo. The listing confuses me--it says she would like to be adopted with her sister Precious, who is no longer available. Well, all I can tell you is she's cute and two years and one month old. LISTING REMOVED. Lenard (R) is a cute himi boy.

LISTING REMOVED. Daisy (L) is a one year one month old abby girl who was given up because of allergies. LISTING REMOVED. Patches (R) is a cutie-pie, and she is two years and seven months old.

LISTING REMOVED. Miss Piggy (L) is a pretty abby girl who was given up when her owner's landlord said she had to go. She is a two year and one month old girl. LISTING REMOVED. Moose (R) is one of the most handsome pigs I've ever seen. He is a big guy who's not skittish. He's one year and one month old.

LISTINGS REMOVED. Larry (L) is a one year and seven months old boar. He is a cutie boy hoping to be adopted with LISTINGS REMOVED. Rodney (R) who is the same age and equally cute!

There is also a happy family of guineas, each one waiting to be adopted. I'll post their group picture and individual listings. LISTING REMOVED. Wookie is a two month old brown male. LISTING REMOVED. Pooh is a brown male. LISTING REMOVED. Pigwig is a two month old lilac male. LISTING REMOVED. Peanut is a two month old black male. LISTING REMOVED. Chiclet is a two month old white male. LISTING REMOVED. Mushroom is a buff two month old male.

PA-Humane Society of Lancaster County-two gals

LISTING REMOVED. Two beautiful gals awaiting a forever home at Humane League of Lancaster County. Some of my favorites I've ever featured on here, they are just so cute!

Lollipop is described as a small adult female, but she looks like a big lovable girl to me!

Popsicle is another small adult female. I wonder if her size description includes that gorgeous head of hair! Or, body of fur, rather. Mr. AAGP thinks she looks like a wig (he means that in a good way).

697

PA-Susquehanna County Humane Society-Boar

A pretty boy at the Susquehanna County Humane Society. He is a small adult named LISTING REMOVED. Coconut, and that's all I know about him. But look, so cute!
