Teddy was brought to the shelter because his family was moving. He has since made friends with the other resident male guinea pig, Tobe. It would be wonderful if they would be adopted together! Teddy is three years old and ready to start the rest of his life in a forever home!

Poor Tobe is a scared boy at the shelter. He was surrendered by his owner, so he really is feeling down on his luck right now. His bio puts it pretty it well: "Once I settle in to my new home, with a little love and affection I should stop being soo scared. I would love a new place where I can get out of the cage and stretch my legs and exercise a little bit. Wow, that sure would be fun!!! Stop on by and say 'Hi', hope to see you soon!"

Cross allergies can actually be common, so you'd want to see for yourself before planning on adopting a guinea pig friend. They recommend phoning the shelter for a faster response time.

As I'm against br33ding, I'm going to say that neither pig in the ad should be br3d (s/he says just one can't be). There is a 20% mortality rate when you br33d your pigs--it is NOT better for their health to be br3d. This is a GUINEA PIG MYTH. GUINEA PIG FACT: Not only does it cost the lives of guinea pigs in the shelter, br33ding may cost the lives of the guinea pigs in your home.


There are more guinea pigs then there are homes. Plain Fact. Buying a guinea pig from someone who intentionally adds to this overpopulation is denying a home to a shelter or rescue pig. There aren't enough homes to pick up the slack.
