NY-Life Long Tails

More Life Long Tails Piggies!

I've previously featured ADOPTED! Michael and Myers, but they are finally available for adoption! If this world had its priorities straight, people would be lining up at 4 AM and getting in fist fights to be their adopters tomorrow. They're an abby father and son team. Michael is the pop and a year old, Myers is the son and 4-5 months old. They arrived in the rescue in a very poor state, dirty with horribly overgrown nails and lice. This condition could have been so easily prevented. They weren't immediately available for adoption because they had to get all fixed up, and now these cuties are ready to be taken home with you. Michael is a mellow boar, and Myers is a vocal bouncer.

ADOPTED! Lona and Gracie are two sows in foster care. Lona is a black and white abby who is about 9-10 months old. Gracie is 6-7 months old and a Peruvian/Silkie. They are both gorgeous! Shockingly so. Lona is a bit skittish but coming along. She loves veggies and will eat straight from the hand. Gracie's hair needs regular care to keep it smooth and beautiful. She was delivered to the rescue in very poor condition, but they've cleaned her up-and how! Gracie was mistreated by the kids of her former family, so she was also a bit skittish upon arrival. Lona's picture is the first one, and she is the piggy on the left.

POST DELETED. Albany, NY: Here's a repost, I believe, for Baby, who is a super cute girl. The picture I'm posting is from the first ad; there is no photo attached to this one. She is a five month old girl who is not getting enough attention in her home. The poster is worried she will get lonely. Her reasonable adoption fee includes her cage, water bottle, half a bag of bedding, some pellets and hay, and a number of things on the guinea no list. She is a sweetie sow, by the looks of her.

LISTING REMOVED. Hazlet, NJ: Kids grew bored with Oreo, the guinea pig in question, so the poster took him in and committed to keeping him for fr33 until he or she found a good home for him. So she's dumping him for fr33 on Craigslist. I hope she's being unknowingly reckless with his care, instead of being aware of the dangers. He comes with his house, bowl, cage, bedding, food, etc. The endangered boar is black and white.

Let's Give Thanks! (SCROLL DOWN FOR NEW PIGS)

My pigs enjoying their T-day meal

I'd like to take a moment to say thank you to all of the rescues and shelters I have listed in the past month. Please consider thanking them as well. Whether it be an email of admiration, a monetary/financial donation, or scheduling to volunteer, the people behind these links are heroes to animals and adopters. When available, I'm going to link to a donation page which will link to info on financial donations, material donations, and donations of your time. Anything you can do to help will be a help. In the hopes that someone will see this and send a thank you, I want to say my appreciation to you. Thank you for helping homeless animals and the people who care for them daily.

My tip is to pick either your local rescue/shelter, or the rescue/shelter which houses your favorite guinea pig(s), and send them a thank you, in whatever form. Let's Give Thanks!

PA-Piggie Lovers Inc. Guinea Pig Rescue-bonded sows

Piggie Lovers Inc. Guinea Pig Rescue has two new girls available for adoption!

ADOPTED! Thelma and Louise are adorable girls who were once living in deplorable conditions. They were being housed on cat litter, which is absolutely not acceptable. They are six to seven months old. Thelma is the black and white short hair (who looks eerily like my Esme), and Louise is a beautiful blonde and white abby.

These lap piggies become so comfortable they fall asleep in your arms, or will fall asleep on pillows during floor time (sounds more like cats!).

Though they can be a bit scared when first meeting you, they warm up quickly and will zoom around the cage in happiness.

NY-Lollypop Farm in Fairport

New members of the Lollypop Guild. And hold your hats, there's a himi!

LISTING REMOVED. Lenard is said himi, and that's all I know about him. But boy is he cute!

LISTING REMOVED. Daisy is a tricolor abby girl who is only one year old. That's a perfect shot of the ol' butt-rosette.

LISTING REMOVED. Patches is a sweetie tri-color short hair girl. She looks like the guineas we just took in. She's two and half years old, which is a great age for a guinea pig.

LISTING REMOVED. Rodney, I tell ya, I tell ya, is a brown year and a half old boar.

LISTING REMOVED. Larry is a small adult boar. Don't curb your enthusiasm for him!

556

PA-Adams County SPCA-boar

Adams County SPCA has a handsome little boar buddy available for adoption. ADOPTED! Ziggy is a small adult guinea cow.

LISTING REMOVED. Beaver County, PA: Cuddly dear boy needs new home. His small adoption fee includes a C&C cage (good deal!), water bottle, and "Big Daddy" himself. He is a lap piggy who loves to be pet. He sounds like a sweetheart. I wish he know what a forever home was. Can you teach him?

550

PA-Delaware County SPCA-bonded sows

Delaware County SPCA has a gorgeous pair of sows named ADOPTED! Sophie and Fluffy. They're small and young, and that's all the specific info the shelter has posted about them so far, but the listing says to check back for more. They're really adorable. The shelter also seems fairly cavy knowledgeable, which is a really good sign. Adopt these dear gals!
