POST EXPIRED. Four beautiful guinea pigs in North Jersey being dumped. Two adults (1 1/2 years old), two babies (five months old). Small adoption fee means you get the cage, food, bedding, and vitamin water (no good, don't use it). I'm in love with the black self-s/he looks so sleek and healthy.

PA-Humane League in Lancaster County

The Humane League in Lancaster County (Lancaster, PA), is an independent non-profit which is always looking for volunteers-they have a bunch of different opportunities. They also have three guinea pigs available for adoption!

ADOPTED!
That sweet little all brown boy is named Puff. He was given up because of allergies-poor guinea pig. And poor Claritin losing those sales. He's young and small and looking for a forever home.

ADOPTED! The young tiny baby boy next to the toilet paper roll for scale is named Cally. He was born in foster care, is just one month old, and super active. PLUS he has three brothers available for adoption too!

ADOPTED! Popcorn has such a lovely bio I'm going to repost it here: "Popcorn is a young adult guinea pig whose unique appearance is sure to win over the hearts of old and young alike." Well it won over me! And I'm early mid-twenties, so add a whole 'nother category on there.

PA-Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter Inc.

Cumberland Animal Shelter is in Chambersburg, PA, and holds about 80 animals. It runs two thrift stores.

LISTING REMOVED. Snowcone (a name which, for some reason, I adore), is an adult gal of medium build, who is absolutely beautiful. She was dropped off in a box outside the shelter-if you ever give up an animal to the shelter, please do it directly. They get adopted much more quickly with background information. Look at her cute little pink ears though! And those beautiful black eyes. She looks like a guinea pig an idealistic child drew.

LISTING REMOVED. Buttercup was dumped in the same box as Snowcone, and is just as cute. She's another one of those medium sized adults. Who could give these girls up?

#5 LISTING REMOVED. Buddie and LISTING REMOVED. Speedie.

NY-EUTHANASIA ALERT-Hi-Tor Animal Care Center

ADOPTED!! Joey is an amazing guinea pig temporarily living in an overflowing shelter. As a result, he is in danger of being euthanized. It is not the fault of the fantastic shelter workers, and Joey is not an "unadoptable" guinea pig. Rather, there are too few homes for the inumerable homeless guinea pigs- a result of br33ders, pet stores, and frequent missexing. There are so many guinea pigs, and other animals, looking for a home, and it's hard to find just one cause. It is easy to find just one solution, for just one animal-open your home for adoption or fostering, and you will be saving a life.

Joey is just one year old, which means he has plenty of years left. He is cuddly and incredibly well socialized to people-Joey is a "pet buddy," so he has gone on visits to Nursing Home residents. What a sweet boy! The shelter likes him so much a staff member posted on GuineaLynx to help find this guy a home-that's awesome. Any shelter workers or volunteers who read this and want me to post about their guinea pig, or want me to post something they've written, send it to adoptaguineapig @ gmail.com.

There are also five rabbits that need to find homes ASAP at this shelter.

POST DELETED.
West Milford, North New Jersey, four guinea pigs being offered for adoption. Victor turned Victoria (check the sexing page on GuineaLynx to prevent such common occurrences), and had four pups! Two baby boys and two baby girls available for adoption. No photo, but there's no such thing as a "non-cutest being in the world" guinea pig. If you have an older guinea pig, a baby will generally bond really quickly with him or her.

NY-Petfinder Classifieds-Two Listings

LISTING REMOVED. The link for these two won't always point correctly, it's just to a search for NY and guineas in the Petfinder Classifieds. Meaning if you want any of these guineas, act fast!

Two girls, Lotsy and Piggy, in Crotson on Hudson are being rehomed because of a new infant's allergies. Piggy follows the poster around the house like a puppy; that's so cool! Like being held, give love nibbles.

Two girls in Mahopec being rehomed because of allergies. Names are Goldie and Whitey. Sweet, eat right out of hands. Confusion-the poster also says the guinea pigs are male. Clarify if these pigs are of interest.

LISTING REMOVED. In Bergen County a 3 month old guinea pig (sex not specified) is being rehomed because the poster is moving. Again, I ask, where are these people moving? And if they can't take their family pets, why move there? S/he is described as healthy and adorable. Cripes. Someone help this guinea out?

ADOPTED! (Tonawanda, near Buffalo)
Dalton is an amazing looking guinea pig. I am in love with him. There is a real danger in looking at hundreds of guinea pigs each day. I've had to desensitize myself to guinea pigs being cute. Well this guy has broken through the barrier, goodness! Guinea pigs are the best animals in the world-sweet, furry, and made for cuddling. I'll tell you, in my heart, I'm a hoarder. Each picture and story lodges itself in my arteries like bits of fat.

Back to Dalton-the poster is rehoming him (reasonable adoption fee) because he doesn't have enough time for him with school. While he's gone the house is noisy ("little ones") and so the guinea pig is timid. He comes with the cage and stand, pigloo, water bottle, food dish, left over food and pine bedding (careful now). He is a lovable guy. Someone please adopt him and post photos!

LISTING EXPIRED. (New York City) A four year old named Amelia has been through several moves and no attention. Poster wants her to go to someone who loves animals and has time and energy for her. I bet Amelia wants that too-to bad she's being given away with no mention of an adoption fee. Comes with food, bedding, cage, and an assurance of a clean bill of health. Pic will be posted soon.

LISTING REMOVED. Guinea pigs pictured are not actual guinea pigs up for adoption, rather, they are their doppelgängers found online. Both guinea pigs are very sweet. Poster says that she loves them very much but cannot care for them. Small adoption fee.

NY-Animal Service League Inc.

The Animal Service League is a no-kill shelter in Rochester. They take in all sorts of animals, including guinea pigs!

ADOPTED! They have a listing on Petfinder labeled "Chloe," but it's actually for three guinea pigs: Chloe, Lola, and Sabre. Sabre has been adopted already, but I'm not sure which one he is, so I'm posting all three photos. These guinea pigs are about two and a half months old, and super cute. They're well socialized to humans, and should be adopted together. Guinea pigs can get really depressed if you break up a bonded pair.
