PA-Have-A-Heart Guinea Pig Rescue.

NOTE: DUE TO TIME CONSTRAINTS AND THE LARGE NUMBER OF HAVE A HEART GUINEA PIGS, HAH ENTRIES WILL NO LONGER BE RETROACTIVELY UPDATED. MY APOLOGIES FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS CAUSES. THE HAH WEBSITE WILL OFFER THE MOST UP TO DATE INFORMATION.

This is part two of my Pennsylvania Have-A-Heart guinea pigs. As a reminder, there are H-a-H guinea pigs in Maryland, Delaware, and New Jersey, in addition to Pennsylvania. They are also always looking for foster homes, so check out their website if you're interested.

I'm posting this on the occasion of Korey being available for adoption, the latest PA-H-a-H guinea pig! He is a young, medium sized male, and he's a teddy!! He's a tri-color teddy too, so I'm betting he's adorable. He came to the rescue after he was dropped off at the shelter because his owners no longer wanted him. I do not understand how a person can do that. Lucky for the family and Korey, this little boar wound up with a great rescue, and what I'm sure is a great foster home. Korey doesn't have a picture up yet, but I'll update when he does.

As with other posts on rescues with large numbers, I'm going to feature three guinea pigs with pictures and post links to the rest at the bottom of the entry. This entry's theme is "it's raining boars," but don't think they don't have sows. Check out their website if that's what you're looking for--there are a ton of beautiful sweeties. If you can't adopt, considering donating to have a H-a-H guinea pig spayed or neutered.

John and Kamil
look like brothers to me, but they actually bonded in the rescue. John was born in the rescue and he is now a year and half old. That's time for a forever home! He is rust, chocolate, and white Abby who is used to dogs and cats. Kamil is just over a year and a half old and came to the rescue from a PA shelter. He's a tricolor abby male who is also used to cats and dogs.

Oliver and Simon are two very handsome boars. They're bonded and must be adopted together. Oliver is a tri-color abby who has had some hard times. Simon is a white and brown agouti American. Oliver's close-up stole my heart, so I'm posting that photo. There's a profile at their Petfinder sites though.

DJ is two years old and two months, and he is such a cutie. He is a brown agouti, rust and white American. He's used to kids, dogs, and cats. He was given to the rescue when his owners could no longer care for him. Poor DJ!

NY-Lollypop Farm in Fairport

New members of the Lollypop Guild! No faces yet, but I bet they're adorable. Check out their site to see the cute guinea pigs already available for adoption, or search this site to see their photos plus my witty commentary.

ahem.

LISTING REMOVED. Patches is a two and a half year old white sow. It's possible there are other colors at play, or that white is just her dominant color. I'm noticing this is a trend with this shelter. It happens with others too, which is why it's always important to visit the guinea pigs at the shelter.

LISTING REMOVED. Clover is a two year old brown tri-color boar. I love that name!

LISTING REMOVED. Carmela is a white calico two year old sow.

LISTING REMOVED. Precious is a one year old white calico sow.

LISTING REMOVED. Lady Brown is a bit over a year and half, and is a brown sow. And her name is awesome.

LISTING REMOVED. Truly is a grey sow (pretty) who is a bit over a year and a half.

LISTING REMOVED. Bubbles is a white tri-color sow, no age specified.

LISTING REMOVED. Trinket is a white tric-color sow, no age specified.

PA-Central PA Humane Society-two young bonded sows

Central PA Humane Society is a shelter in Altoona, PA, and it has two wonderful guineas.

LISTING REMOVED. Petunia and Butter are bonded nine month old guinea girls. They love each other a lot, and so they have to be adopted together. These two sisters are very friendly and socialized to people. One of them has an Edwardian Abby crest-she'll be fun to pet!

PA-Montgomery County SPCA-Conshohocken Boar

LISTING REMOVED. The Montgomery County SPCA-Conshohocken Facility has a new boar, and I love him. His name is George. He is five years old, and therefore a senior, and therefore you can officially celebrate November by adopting him! And then posting pictures and adding a webcam so I can live vicariously through you. C'mon, look at this cutie-pie face!

This guy is featured on Petharbor and his ID# is A158196.

NY-Craigslist-bonded sows

* If responding to a Craigslist ad meet in a public place, or go with a friend. Google the phone number of the poster to ensure
it matches the name he or she gives *

LISTING REMOVED. Danger
post near Rochester, NY: Fifteen year old tires of his guinea pigs, so they are rehomed for fr33 on Craigslist. Please keep this in mind if getting your minor child a pet. Also, always charge an adoption fee to avoid your guinea pig winding up as breeder "stock," sn@ke food, or a lab specimen. They are both sows; one is white, one is black and brown. They are friendly cuddlers who are well socialized to people. Must be adopted together.

NY-8 month old sow-GPAN

Latte needs a lot of help! (See it's not a pun, yet it alludes to one--classy). This eight month old sow lives in New York, NY and needs a new home because her teenage caretaker lost interest. Please keep this in mind if you're adopting a guinea pig for a minor in your family. Latte's a tri-color, white, brown and beige. Sounds like a cutie of a keeper!
