PA-Craigslist-Multiple Listings

* If responding to a Craigslist ad meet in a public place, or go with a friend. Google the phone number of the poster to
ensure it matches the name he or she gives *

LISTING REMOVED Havre de Grace, PA: Two very pretty short haired guinea girls need a new home. Multi-colored fur. Come with cage, water bottles, and food holders. Friendly girls though a bit scared at first, like to be held. Prefer contact by phone.

LISTING REMOVED. Lower Burrell (near Pittsburgh), PA: Two young male guinea pigs need a new home. Well socialized to humans and very tame. Bonded, so must be adopted together. Small adoption fee includes hay, treats, and any left over food.

LISTING REMOVED Allentown, PA (repeat listing here): These guinea pigs are listed twice, the terms of what guinea pigs are available for what cost and what reason change depending on the post--scam? Consistently they are a couple of weeks old. In one ad, one is male the other two are female. In another ad one is male (black and white) the other is female. (black, brown and white)

NJ-Craigslist/Monmouth County SPCA-Boar

ensure it matches the name he or she gives *

LISTING REMOVED Eatontown, NJ: This CL post was made by a foster parent volunteering with the Monmouth County SPCA in Eatontown, NJ. Because the piggy in question, the darling Ben, is not at the shelter, use the ad's email address to find out about adoption information.

Ben is two years old and quite striking. The poor guy is in between homes for a classically sad piggy reason, and Ben is the one to suffer. His foster parent seems quite fond of him though, so this boy seems like a keeper to the true animal lover.

LISTING REMOVED Northern New Jersey, NJ: Three guinea pigs being kept in a tank and therefore squalor. Guinea pigs need to be kept in a cage with proper ventilation. Three males, come with food, water dish, some food (double check if it's appropriate on GuineaLynx), and clean bedding. Small adoption fee. Say "no tanks!" to this poster (groan).

LISTING REMOVED Browns Mills, NJ: Two bonded three month old sisters. Daughters of a missexed petstore couple. Very reasonable adoption fee includes cage and accessories. Will screen, must be adopted together.
ETA:

LISTING REMOVED Hazlet, NJ: For small donation boar available for adoption, comes with cage, water bottle, toys three month supply of food (hay?), email for more information and to set an appointment. The guinea pig has not been handled too much and will nibble, but in my experience most guinea pigs come around with some TLC

NJ-North Jersey Guinea Pig and Hamster Rescue-Three New Pigs

Due to increased time commitments, I am no longer going to be able to update past entries of some of the larger rescues such as Have-A-Heart and NJGPHR. Once a week or so I will update the herd of the respective rescues.

North Jersey Guinea Pig and Hamster Rescue, NJ: Furby, Boris, and Mikey II! These are the latest three guinea pigs I've neglected to post; please find the entire NJGPHR brood linked to at the bottom of the entry.

Furby is one and a half years old, and has been in the rescue since mid-January. He is friendly and well socialized to people. He would make a good friend to a boy pig or spayed sow you have at home, or could go home with a friend he made in rescue.

Boris is a senior boy (six and a half years) who is not presently available for adoptioon. He is going through a rigorous series of treatments for bumblefoot, and so the rescue is asking for donations toward his veterinary and general care. "Please help to give Boris some peace and comfort in his old age!"

Mikey II is one and a half years old. He is friendly and well socialized to people. He would be well matched with a lonely baby male pig, or he could be adopted as a single pig. Contact the rescue for more information on adopting Mikey II.

PA-Paws 2 Learn-special baby boy

Paws 2 Learn, PA: ADOPTED! Buzz!

Buzzy-boy is a favorite at the rescue it seems. He arrived with all of his fur shaved off (no explanation given, but poor boy!). His fur is growing back and he seems to be an abby. He is very adorable, "has an exceptional personality," and "makes an unusually deep purring noise when you pet him!" He is full of energy, and so will be perfectly suited for the C&C cages that are now the gold standard for guinea pigs. Like a lot of pigs who have had a hard past, he now loves and craves a great deal of attention. Adopt him and a friend too!

NY-Erie County SPCA-sow

Erie County SPCA, Tonawanda locationa, NY- LISTING REMOVED Zinfandel! A small adult female, and that's all her profile says--surely she's charming!

NY-Lollypop Farm in Fairport-baby girl

Lollypop Farm in Fairport, NY: LISTING REMOVED. Rainbow!

I'm not sure if Rainbow is still available, as she is only on Petfinder and not on the Lollypop Guild website. But she is a small baby himi girl who is vocal and needs someone to help her with learning to trust people. She also appears to be a sports fan!

NY-Chenango County SPCA-mother and daughter abbies

Chenango County SPCA, NY: LISTINGS REMOVED. Twix and Diamond (bonded status not stated)!

Twix is the daughter to Diamond, and she's one year old. She looks like she's taking one of those scary eye open guinea naps in her photo. She is described as "sweet and playful."

Diamond is mom to Twix, and is a year and a half old, and, is absolutely adorable.

NY-Humane Society of Middletown New York-Boar

Humane Society of Middletown New York, NY: ADOPTED! Winkle!

Not much info on Winkle. One quick note, though whatever color his eyes, he's just as wonderful, I think they might not actually be red. Healthy dark guinea pig eyes will reflect red in a flash. All else I can tell you is he's a small young adult male. That and oh, he's adorable!

PA-Lycoming County SPCA-Adult Pig

Lycoming County SPCA, PA (offers beneficial pet insurance): LISTING REMOVED Goober!

Not much info on this piggy at all. Just an absolutely adorable lug of a pig. Described as small, certainly huggable, sex unknown. Goober needs a bigger cage!

NY-Black Dog Second Chance Rescue-young sow

Black Dog Second Chance Rescue, NY: ADOPTED! Noel! Now being listed with Blue Skies Forever here.

Four month old guinea girl with beautiful hair. Rescued by her foster mom; just gave birth to a litter of babies who were born on Christmas Eve. All the pups have found homes, and now mom needs a home as well. Noel needs to go to a home with another female piggie. Click on her profile for contact information.

PA-Central PA Humane Society-Boar

Central PA Humane Society, PA: LISTING REMOVED. Frito!

Frito is described as a small sweet baby boy who came in with his brother, Corn Chips. Corn Chips not being listed, it seems like poor Frito might be by himself! Sounds like a boy in need of a forever home with a piggy friend waiting for him!
