LISTING REMOVED. North New Jersey: Um, I kind of love this pig, so if someone winds up adopting her and sees this, can they please let me know and even send a phot-o, if possible? Thankya! She's 1 1/2 years old, and comes with her cage, carrying case, feed, and water bottle for a small rehoming fee. Being rehomed due to move. Guinea girl needs some new food; any food with colored pieces or corn in it isn't suitable for our dear guinea friends. Try Oxbow or Kleenmama's.

GUINEA PIG LESSON on TRANSPORTATION: When transporting your happy new pig from their old home to their new, forever home, a soft carrier like the one pictured isn't the best for a car. Knock on wood, should there be an accident, hard plastic carriers (like those used for cats and dogs) lined with towels for softness offer more security for the pig, assuming they are buckled in. Other tips: give your guinea some hay to make the ride more comfortable, and some water rich vegetables like romaine lettuce. Never hang a water bottle in the carrier because with the bumps in the road the water bottle might leak, and if the guinea is surrounded by wet towels they might catch a URI. Plus you might think your guinea is getting water to drink when it's not the case. Best to bring a water bottle separately and give your new guinea friend water during a driving break.

LISTING REMOVED. South Jersey: Guinea pig, sex and age not specified, comes with cage, toys, "little home," and an exercise ball, these can be fatal for guinea pigs as they can break their spines and bones in their feet.

LISTING REMOVED. Browns Mills, NJ: Male guinea pig that is less than one year old being rehomed.

NJ/NY-GuineaLynx-Two males, one female (need fosters or adopters)

WITH A RESCUE(R)! Northern NJ, NYC Area: Poster received word that some guinea pigs had been abandoned outside in Queens, and saved three baby guinea pigs in an open field where birds and a cat were nearby. All three guinea pigs (two males, one female) are being quarantined, but no one is altered.

The first, larger boy is an abby, and is white with a black face. The second boy is quite small but very vocal, and is a tortie abby/ texel mix (though it's hard to make a completely accurate guess, as his hair is at the baby stages, and his coat is still recuperating from being outside). The only female is a tortie-mostly-black abby.

Everyone is thin with "war wounds on their ears," but the poster says they are "doing very well generally, healthy, happy, and even popcorning, wheeking, and burbling."

I would double check about the fostering--whether that meant you'd be fostering for the poster, or if you already work with a rescue and have an available foster spot open. Angel work folks!

The pig is now in tip top shape and ready for a forever home. He is a black and white abby under a year old. For contact information for the vet, and more information on how to adopt the pig, please click on the link.
