PA-York County SPCA-TEN guinea pigs!

York County SPCA; York, PA: Ten guinea pigs!

Ten guinea pigs were dropped off at the shelter when their owner was moving. A mother and her two litters, ages ranging from 3 weeks to six months. PREGNANCY ALERT. A link to sex guinea pigs here = Boy or Girl?

The basics, males become sexually fertile at 21 days and should be removed from their mothers at that time, females can be immediately reimpregnated after giving birth (back-br3d) and so males should be separated from females (just in general, really, unless a neuter has been performed and a two week recovery period has been followed). Female guinea pigs can be sexually mature as early as 28 days. Learn more about how two guinea pigs can balloon out of control at GuineaLynx, here.
